 - Albanian  catholic nun. She won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 for her humanitarian work.

                                                                       Desmond Tutu (1931) - South African clerig, a strong opponent of Apartheid. He received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1984 for his work as human rights activist.

- A secular humanitarian-aid non-governmental organazition - received the 1999 Nobel Peace Prize for its projects in war-torn regions and developing countries facing endemic disease.

                                                                                Red Cross
- The International Committee of the Red Cross, a  private humanitarian institution, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1917, 1944 and 1963.
